Our specialized programs and services are designed with each individual in mind, the men and women over age 22 who find fulfilling work and friendships at our four locations.

We're committed to creating meaningful employment that gives our program participants control. The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well at Transition Services! Participants can choose to be a part of our cleaning and yard crews. Under the supervision of a staff member, they work with their peers and learn the joys and responsibilities of creating happy customers. Crews with three to five members learn the correct use of everything from cleaning products to yard tools.
Our product sales crew takes charge of quality control, packaging and most importantly sales of all the products made at Transition Services. This crew is on the move to Farmers' Markets, craft fairs, and even goes to businesses to do customized sales presentations. Learn more about our upcoming events.
Our crews benefit from:
• higher wages
• on-the job decision making
• customer satisfaction
• teamwork

People in our senior program may have more candles on their birthday cakes then some of us, but they learn to stay sharp through specially structured activities.
Do you know a senior with a developmental disability who is loosing interest with work or unable to succeed on the job? Our senior program may be just the answer. Days are scheduled with adaptive and stimulating activities. One day we might maximize all of our senses—the next we'll focus on acquiring good health skills.
Seniors may also have the opportunity to learn and participate in the various skill-building activities featured in our community integration program.

Our follow-along services are the perfect fit for individuals who have succeeded at community employment, but may still benefit from assistance with job related situations.
Since 2001, Bahama Breeze restaurant has contracted with Transition Services workers who assist with general restaurant duties. Participants in this work program roll silverware into napkins in the exotic atmosphere of this eatery. Bahama Breeze has been a wonderful supporter of the people we serve, not to mention the terrific food!
"My daughter, Melissa, has been attending Transition Services for nearly three years. Although she is not verbal, I can tell by her attitude and behavior that she is happy to go there everyday. The staff is loving and caring and most understanding when she has that occasional 'day off."
-- Catherine Hanly, parent of Transition Services participant
